I was born in Kuching, and I am proud to call myself a Sarawakian. I love listening to music, watching TV Series and movies, but occasionally enjoy art and creative works. Travelling is something I'd like to do for leisure purposes only.
In life, I prefer to seek the little joys in life as I happily watch my little girl grow-up, hence putting my family first in most occasions.
I treasure honestly regardless if it's brutal, and blogging in particular, has enabled me to mix with a very diverse group of people.
I began blogging in 2003 using Blogger, switching to numerous other platforms in between 2005 - 2007, before settling for my own domain in 2008. Now, I have several niche blogs, and my social media accounts are also well followed.
I founded the Sarawak Bloggers Society in 2010 to bring bloggers and social media users together, and provide opportunities for social media influencers in Sarawak to be more visible.
Aside from contributing to Tiger Airways' Tiger Tales Magazine, as well as writing for Singapore based Goal.com in the past, I am currently a Level 6 contributor on TripAdvisor and Google's Local Guides.
As a trained teacher, my journey started when I began training as a teacher in 2002, with my first school being SM Teknik Batu Pahat in Johor. After graduation in 2006, I took up a temporary job as a sub-teacher in SMK Sungai Tapang in Samarahan in which I taught History and Physical Education.
On Feb 2007, I was stationed by the Malaysian Ministry of Education in SMK Matang Jaya, Kuching in which I was to teach technical education, specializing in HVAC.
I have been constantly involved in organizing events since high school and continue do so as a teacher in SMK Matang Jaya.
In 2011 and 2012, I organized Sarawak's very first social media event Tweet-Up Kuching (#twtupkch), which was awarded the 'Best Social Media Gathering in Malaysia' for the year of 2013.
In 2015, I organized Sarawak's very first crowd-funded event called HashtagLive Kuching (#LiveKCH).
